    A pot of Coffee for everyone! Kathy is running again!

    I don't suppose a yard sign at the little hut in the woods would do any good but I'll start saving my nickles and pennies for my donation...but first a new roof for the house.

    Supposed to be 30 year shingles but they have been there for 10 years and look terrible. Not leaking yet but it will be a hold my fingers till spring time. Steel will replace the shingles, I'm to old to go through this again and the steel roof I want is guaranteed for 50 years.

    2nd pot of coffee, Sanborn, decaff but hot black and strong. donut and toast for breakfast, couldn't face cereal again today and I'm having a bad back week so standing long enough to make oatmeal or fry an egg wasn't going to happen.

    Did get some .410 shooting done day before yesterday and some 45 ACP shooting done yesterday. Still shooting up the last of the 1976 batch I made a hundred years ago only these hadn't been resized so they are having trouble feeding. Still darn accurate though.

    Supposed to snow or rain this afternoon, I vote for rain but I don't think anybody in the weather department cares about my vote. Still have garden clean up and roof work on my deer blind to do. Might not get done this year but I'm going to try.

    Thanks 63D, your right I did learn the ropes and meet a lot of great people.

    Back to my real job tomorrow, OG thanks we are setting up the "exploratory" committee to start raising the funds. I will send you a yard sign from this campaign if you like, we are reusing one type. Again going we are going to take pride on being cheap.

    Raining here, waiting for a warm day to go riding, Army son is getting married next month and hes coming here to do it. I hope he knows when he can get leave soon we cant even plan.

    Thank HDR, I will stay in the fight. Groups are forming to fight the fraud in our election here, we are demanding that the Fed step in. The Governors race was blatantly stolen.

    It may actually warm up here I can try out my new motorcycle tire.

    For such a little state you guys sure do make the news. I kind of wonder about a couple of other races too, Senator for one.

    Well enjoy the ride, I'm going out to the shop to make a table for my mother, then maybe, if I'm still able, I will burn some gun powder.

    When you get your paper work done and name on the ballot send that sign, I'll put it right next to my mail box and send a picture of it to you. You can label it "Grumpy old Cheeseheads for Kathy". Or maybe not, I don't know if it would help or not. It sure will mess with my neighbors minds though and it will be worth it for that. Gun owners, family full of ex marines, yet they voted Democrat????? It boggles me little mind.

    I have a rule with winter riding; if it is cold enough to need chaps; I take the bike apart or something. lol.

    I'd like to pull the heads on mine and set the valves up for a different cam. Some of the new designs hit lower in the rpm than my S&S 495 (for the gear heads: http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/h...l_bydur_ql.htm) which is a good thing.. However, a 106" engine has a shyte load of torque; so, a new cam is a want not a need and the way things are; I'll keep the cash.

    Lots of exciting stuff developing here, 2012 is going to be exciting. People such as Oliver North and Jim DeMint will be helping us here.

    Tomorrow I am going to march in a Veterans Day Parade with my grandchildren.

    I got my truck paid off, and today, I'm sending my mom off to Europe to see the sights and visit my sister. She always wanted to visit Europe. I provided the tickets, and my sister will be providing the bed, board, and will be her driver. She's 80 years old. She said, as a child, she always wanted to tour Europe. She's so excited that she said she feels like a child again!

    Looking forward to the sign, I'll plant it and post it. Glad you had a good day, hope you are getting some quality ride time in before you have to start grinding away at making a living again.

    Yer a good man 63, and lucky you ma can and wants to do this. Mine is 84 and way to weak for a trip like that and she wouldn't remember where she was going or where she had been when she got back. Best we can do is keep her comfortable.

    63D so nice of you, she is lucky to have such a thoughtful son. And now with no truck payment maybe you can take a vacation too.

    OG It is a welcome break from the seedy world of politics. Next time I will seek the Libertarian endorsement, you can get more than one and be on the ballot twice....

    I went back to work on Friday and today, I blocked out next years vacation..LOL It sleeted here today, forgot what winter was like.

    I hope they all come through, we need all the help we can get here in occupied Connecticut. My congressional rep is a card carrying member of the Democratic Socialist Party, Rosa DeLauro....

    The woman I opposed is all about "Social Economic and Environmental Justice".....going to be an uphill battle.

    When you debate her, be careful that you don't fall for the trap of, "You don't want taxes, but you want education, firefighters, the military, police, the court system, NASA, on, and on, and on...." I noticed this is becoming a common tactic. The best comeback I can think of is to say "Only an extremist would think in absolutes like that. Of course these things are necessary, but keeping in mind that tax money belongs to the tax payers and should be used in the most effective manner is important too. Cuts need to be found. Programs need to be streamlined."

    Something that's happening around here is, if a school district is found not up to standards, it's split up and given to surrounding districts that are more effective. The quality of education goes up, and the education money is saved by cutting the administration. The fire departments are consolidating their administration around here to save costs also. We're a conglomeration of little towns that are fairly close with rural areas between the towns, so I don't know if that would work in your area.

    Thats a great idea but here schools are town to town and in the district Im running in there are only one or two elementary schools and a regional HS. They had to lay off 7 teachers in Cheshire and close a school altogether in Wallingford. Its the unions that make it impossible to clean up education and they are why the socialist Dems stay in power.

    I debated her twice, she stinks at it and when she speaks its barely audible.

    I AM SO EFFEN PISSED!!!!


    My uncle passed away earlier this year. He was a Vietnam vet. He was in the Navy as a medic, and was attached to a Marine squad. I know he saw and did more than his fair share because he ended up with drug and alcohol problems. My aunt said it was so bad that she divorced him so they would have some kind of money to pay the rent and feed their daughter. I'm pretty sure he understood because he set her up to receive military survivor's benefits.

    When my uncle passed away, my cousin took all the military records, marriage certificate, the death certificate, and all the other important papers that was in my uncle's apartment. When my aunt tried to renew her ID card, she couldn't find the DD-214. Recently, she got a a letter in the mail saying she has survivor's benefits coming to her. However, a few days later, she gets a letter in the mail saying that my cousin has to forward my uncle's records in so she can get the survivor's benefits. According the the Defense Department, kids who are married, over 18, or 22 if they're in college, don't qualify for the Survivor's benefits. When my aunt told me cousin she was going to find her marriage certificate in Japan, my cousin said she'll take care of it for her. Later, she said she couldn't find it, and my cousin's husband said it doesn't exist.

    Last week, Erika located a copy of my aunt's marriage certificate in Japan. When my aunt told my cousin the marriage certificate was located, my cousin told her mom it was too late to collect the survivor's benefits. I REALLY hope it's only my imagination, but it looks to me like my cousin ripped off her mom!

    I am really sorry to hear that 63, for some reason it always seems to be family that hurts us the most. I don't understand it but its been my experience.
