    I wonder what we can expect in the long term from oil bottoming out?

    It's crazy to think of oil at these prices,or as some are reporting, less than prices; as in - 34.00 a barrel.

    The negative price of oil is caused at least in part by government interference. We need to get back to work ASAP. There are a lot of moving parts here. The massive government spending and additional deficit spending concerns me. At some point we will go beyond the tipping point since no one in government seems to be concerned about a national debt that exceeds our gdp.

    There is one very positive side to this cheap oil. The USAF now can afford enough fuel to keep many pilots at the top of their game. I have a very close friend who flies an F-35 for a living and he said he now is getting in a ton of flight hours.

    Well I'm glad the military has plenty of fuel and practice.
    Something tells me they will need it in the future.

    Higher gas prices? 1970's style "gas shortages"? A greener new "deal"? A new ice-age due to American industry not putting as much heat into the environment? Something new to blame on Pres. Trump?

    The possibilities are endless.

    Great point! With the number of miles driven by atmosphere destroying SUVs down to very little, what will the green monsters have to dream up to hate Trump some more? The New Ice-Age is a great start.

    The noise about oil production and exploration are meaning less. The crude must be refined into useful fuel. We have only 35 mostly run down old refiners. The Virginia refinery is being shut in. We will continue to welcome tankers loaded with gasoline and diesel fuel in to our ports. The Green save the planet Orgs. are killing our Nation.

    I expect it to play out this way;
    cheap oil in the near term
    production ceases for lack of storage and demand
    supply slowly dwindles, raising prices
    shuttered refineries remain shuttered as refineries sell off, forming even bigger monopolies
    supply dries up, refineries start operating again but there are far fewer of them than prior
    welcome to $15 gallon gasoline!
