My wife hit the store this morning.

There was a sign stating they would delay opening until after 7:30 due to the curfew. We don't live in Denver.

You're right. Just a coincidence. Almost ever city block has piles of bricks just lying around. Must be lazy city workers who keep skipping over them....

6:00PM news here in Indy is showing live the police trying to break up a protest that started to get violent, followed by enough tear gas to stop the violence. National Guard called out to help protect government structures. Wonder if they have rifles like the guard had at Kent State, locked and loaded?

Couple of my neighbors sitting on their steps with an AR-15 on their lap. Strange thing yesterday at night and today... heard a strange sound... a low "pop" followed by a loud bang. It didn't sound like a gunshot - more like a BIG firecracker (like an M-80 or M-100). Inside the house I couldn't tell which direction or how far it was.

Nothing has happened where I live. The closest problems have been back in Ferguson, MO, where several LEOs were injured by both flying debris and thrown fireworks. Some of the fireworks made sizeable explosions with some throwing up fireballs over 20' high. The rioters also attacked the Ferguson police station.
The "strange" thing is that the protest was fine until a short time after dark. Then, as one local TV reporter described it, it was as if somebody had "flipped a switch" and all hell broke loose.

Curfew in effect downtown Indy. Police taking up posts in outlying malls report many cars enter the parking lots, see the police and exit at high speed. Not too obvious.
