‘Expiring Money’ Will Define the Last Days of the US Dollar
When he released Episode 7 of his video series 6 years ago, Mike Maloney composed a masterful look at how the endgame of the destruction of the greenback will play out. There is however one issue that not even Mr. Maloney considered. That is the potential for the additional weaponization of the currency through the use of ‘expiring money’.
Of course, money with an expiration date will be sure to help achieve the goal of the acceleration of the turnover of money in the economy. That is what the money printers objective will be. After all, who will let their money go to a value of zero when they can at least buy a bobble or a radish with it? The use of the ‘expiring money’ will at least temporarily stabilize the currency to some degree. But only for a while. Before too long, everyone will realize that the money is literally worth nothing. Then they will spend all of the ‘expiring money’ as soon as it is received which will cause a hyperinflationary spiral of prices higher to levels that people will not be able to comprehend. Then, even the ‘expiring money’ will be worthless.
At that point they will concede that the game is over and the country will have to issue a currency based on something that is real. Something of value. A currency based on commodities that have real utility in the life of a person who must operate in a real world.
Unfortunately for the money printers in the US and the bloggers at the World Bank, someone is creating a currency based on commodities (like gold) that have value. They are called the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) nations. It is not something that is coming in the future. It is something that is happening now.

'It'll wipe out every dollar in the world' - new crash fears as $80trillion 'goes missing'
The world faces a staggering financial meltdown with potential losses exceeding the total number of US dollars in circulation.
Reuters reports*that pension funds and other “non-bank” financial firms have more than $80trillion of hidden, off-balance sheet dollar debt in FX swaps.
BIS described as the FX swap debt market as a "blind spot" that risks leaving policymakers in a total “fog", the latest BIS quarterly report said.
A Dutch pension fund or Japanese insurer could use borrow dollars then lend them as euros or Japanese yen, before later repaying them.
The FX swap market has a history of problems, including funding squeezes during both the global financial crisis and again in the early days of the Covid pandemic, before the Federal Reserve raced to the rescue.
Terrifyingly, the $80trillion-plus "hidden" debt estimate is greater than the total stocks of US dollar Treasury bills, repo and commercial paper in circulation combined, BIS said.

I remember in 2007 right before the epic derivatives collapse when media pundits were applauding the US housing market and predicting even greater highs in sales and in valuations. I had only been writing economic analysis for about a year, but I remember thinking that the overt display of optimism felt like compensation for something. It seemed as if they were trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the public in the hopes that if people just believed hard enough that all was well then the fantasy could be manifested into reality. MOOREFIELD, Wv. (WHSV) - Crews from multiple fire companies in West Virginia responded to an early morning fire at the Pilgrims Pride plant in Moorefield on Tuesday, fortunately, there were no injuries.
The Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company received a call about the fire around 1:41 a.m. on Tuesday.
“We arrived on scene to find more or less a boiler room for part of the plant that was on fire, it was a two-story metal building that was fully engulfed. Everything was contained to that building, the good news is the fire was contained to the processing plant,” said Moorefield Fire Chief Doug Mongold.

Orlando Airport could run out of fuel Sunday night. Here's what travelers should know.
The Federal Aviation Administration is warning pilots that Orlando International Airport (MCO) is running low on fuel, and that could mean hiccups in the days ahead for travelers.
In an official notice, the agency said that the airport could continue having supply issues through about 7 p.m. Tuesday, and suggests that airlines should be prepared to operate flights into the airport with enough fuel on board to fly back out.
Some carriers are already making adjustments to their operations as a result, and at least one has issued a waiver for travelers heading to or from Orlando.
