Well, as shown in the chart above, when updating the series for the latest May data, we find something startling, if not completely unexpected: in May, while the headline payrolls print was a blowout 339K (almost double the 195K expected), a quick look at the underlying numbers shows where the BLS grift was this particular month.
The answer: in May, the number of native born workers tumbled again, dropping by a whopping 369K to 130.744 million, still below the pre-covid highs and barely higher than at the start of the year, but this number was offset almost 1 to 1 by the increase in foreign born workers, which surged by 297K to a record high 30.359 million. Ian Cranston and his fiancé, Allison Butler, were out at a bar in Bend, Oregon on the night of September 19th, 2021. A black man, Barry Washington Jr., aggressively hit on Butler. After multiple passes on his fiancé, Ian told Washington to “move along.” The incensed Washington attacked Cranston. Cranston, believing he was at risk of great harm, pulled out his gun and shot his attacker. The white man claimed he acted in self-defense. Prosecutors disagreed, arguing he shot Washington out of “wounded pride.” The prosecutors basically argued Cranston was a loser and should’ve accepted the black man’s aggressions.
The case, which had no real racial element involved, was instantly treated as a lynching by activists. Black Lives Matter marched for charges right after the shooting. Prosecutors leaned into this angle to try to deny bail for Cranston as he awaited his trial in 2022. “Cranston was motivated not by self-defense but by anger, hate, and frustration with the victim’s behavior,” the prosecution said in a motion to deny the defendant bail. It’s just indefensible to be angry and frustrated over being attacked by a much larger man harassing your fiancé.

The latest weekly report from the US Department of Agriculture shows the US corn crop deteriorated by the most in nearly three years as drought conditions worsened in the Midwest.
About 64% of the nation's corn crop was rated good-to-excellent in the weekly report, a five percentage-point plunge that was the most significant decline since August 2020. The drop was more than double of any analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.

Tacoma police have arrested five people for trying to break into a power vault on city property.
Investigators said the suspects were arrested Monday night before they were able to gain access to the vault. At this time, police are still trying to figure out why they were trying to get into that power vault, but prosecutors said in court Tuesday afternoon the power vault helped provide telecommunications for South Sound 911.
All five suspects are facing charges of burglary and malicious mischief after Tacoma police caught them trying to break into a city power vault using a grinder on the 4500 block of South Tyler Street in south Tacoma.

An 18-year-old who had just graduated and his father were killed in a shooting Tuesday after a high school graduation ceremony on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus, Richmond police said.

Gov. Ron DeSantis’ recently signed Senate Bill 1718, making E-Verify mandatory for employers with 25 or more employees, starting July 1. It is a federal online database that instantly confirms a person’s eligibility to work in the U.S., including whether they are a citizen or have a Social Security number.
The purpose?
“To combat the dangerous effects of illegal immigration caused by the federal government’s reckless border policies,” according to a news release from the governor’s office.
The bill has created fear and panic among immigrants, and raised concerns in the wider Latino community, especially agricultural areas like Manatee and DeSoto counties.
Some have already left the state, and employers are worried.
Protesters gathered in downtown Bradenton on May 12, the day after DeSantis signed the bill, to speak out against the new immigration law.

Bradenton police are looking for a Tropicana employee who shot another employee at the company’s plant on Monday, police said in a press release Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened at 10:24 p.m. at the Tropicana plant, 9th St. E., Bradenton.
Employees said they saw Demitrius Tyrone Bell, 50, walked into the plant and shoot another employee.
Bell left the scene of the shooting in a 2015 black Camaro with Florida license plate QUQF97. Police are actively trying to track him down and are asking the public to contact them if they see him.

For his Instagram avatar, he had used a picture of an old Roman statue of Antinous, boy-lover of the Emperor Hadrian. His Instagram feed included a picture of a child taped to a table, and many other images and comments that looked strange, to say the least, without additional context.
Comet Ping Pong Pizza, which marketed itself as a place for kids, often hosted luridly sexual, surrealist musical acts, such as Heavy Breathing and Sex Stains. Sex Stains has two music videos available on YouTube. One shows the band singing and dancing in a room full of childrens’ toys, including a giant block displaying a symbol that the FBI says pedophiles use to identify each other – a spiral in the shape of a triangle. The video ends with the lead singer on her knees, sweating and breathing heavily, stretching out her hands to highlight the symbol on the block. The same symbol showed up again a few doors down from Alefantis’s joint, in the logo for a nearby restaurant called Besta Pizza (who promptly changed their logo shortly after this was discovered). Someone who’d paid attention in high school French class also pointed out that the name James Alefantis is remarkably similar to the French j’aime l’enfants, which means, “I love children.” All this fuel was duly added to the fire.

Asteroid 1994 XD, which was discovered by the Spacewatch group at Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona in 1994, will come as close as 1.8 million miles to Earth, or about eight times the average distance of the moon, just before 9pm EDT on June 12.
The asteroid is between 1,214 to 2,723 feet in diameter and is traveling at 77,301 kilometers per hour (48,032 mph). According to the Asteroid Launcher simulation website, assuming the asteroid is 1,500 feet in diameter and hit Earth at a 45-degree angle, Asteroid 1994 XD landing in New York City would leave a crater 2.1-miles wide, vaporizing around 60,000 people. A 6.8-mile fireball would kill over 6 million, and 5.6 million would die from a 264-decibel shockwave. There would also be a 6.0 magnitude earthquake.

A top official with the World Economic Forum (WEF) has called for religious scripture to be “rewritten” by artificial intelligence (AI) to create a globalized “new Bible.”
Yuval Noah Harari, the senior advisor to the WEF and its chairman Klaus Schwab, argues that using AI to replace scriptures will create unified “religions that are actually correct.”
Harari, an influential author and professor, made the call while giving a talk on the “future of humanity.”

The biggest challenges have been identifying geographic pockets of immigrant populations, finding ways to reach them and helping any of those interested navigate the complex military recruiting applications and procedures.
Last October, the Army reestablished a program for legal permanent residents to apply for accelerated naturalization once they get to basic training. Recruiters began to reach out on social media, using short videos in various languages to target the top 10 countries that recruits had come from during the previous year.
The Air Force effort began this year, and the first group of 14 graduated from basic training and were sworn in as new citizens in April. They included recruits from Cameroon, Jamaica, Kenya, the Philippines, Russia and South Africa. As of mid-May there were about 100 in basic training who had begun the citizenship process and about 40 who had completed it.
Thomas said the program required changes to Air Force policy, coordination with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and a careful screening process to ensure there are no security risks.
“We have to take exceptional measures to be able to thoroughly vet and go through the security clearance investigation,” he said, adding that in many cases the immigrants are not immediately put in jobs that require top secret clearance.

Congress and the American people deserve an explanation of how the U.S. intelligence community could permit the rise of a peer competitor without alerting decision-makers and the American people and framing options for a response. In the YouTube video, Atkins is seen talking with Sgt. Bradley McClure as he cites Bible verses to the attendees of the event, which reportedly included drag queens and children.

“They would tell us covertly, ‘You’re going to put the money in this envelope and pass it to us,’” Alvarez said, recalling what officials told him and other migrants.

Last Tuesday, The News reported that the 4,153 street stops recorded by officers in the first three months of the year were the highest quarterly total since the last three months of 2015. Roughly 70% of those stopped are Blacks or Black Hispanics, the data shows. Another 23% are white Hispanic, and 6% are white.
Police also made many more motor vehicle stops the first three months of this year — 195,789, the data shows, a pace that would far surpass the 2022 total year number of 673,120.
Black and Latino drivers made up 62% of the total number of drivers stopped, the NYPD data shows — even though they comprise about 49% of vehicle commuters in the city, according to U.S. Census data cited by the New York Civil Liberties Union. Of the 4,892 arrests made following vehicle stops, 4,135 were of Blacks and Latinos — 86%.

Georgia won’t update vulnerable Dominion software until after 2024 election
A lawyer for Georgia’s top election official, Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, recently told a federal court that officials would forgo installing Dominion’s security patches until after the 2024 presidential election.
Georgia election officials insist it is highly unlikely that the vulnerabilities will be exploited in real attacks. Those officials also say they have already carried out a number of security recommendations without having to update the system’s software.

Florida Man Finds Squatter in Home After Returning From 7-Month Trip Abroad
On Friday, an unidentified homeowner in Ocala, Florida returned to his home after being away for seven months only to find his house had been burglarized and trashed. It was apparent that someone had been living there in his absence.
The homeowner decided to sleep in a closet to try and catch the suspected squatter himself and, at about 8 a.m., he awoke to his house alarm going off and a man looking into the closet he was in.
The two men began to argue about who owned the home, and the homeowner ended up using his handgun to fire a shot at the front door to try and scare off the squatter, who ended up fleeing the scene.
The alleged squatter, 26-year-old Ze’Moye Brown, called the police and said that he had been shot and that he owned the house he had been squatting in.
