    Was that a fa bomb?

it looked like maybe chemical storage at the port. Could be fertilizer ?? The video made it seem like there was a fire before the big boom.

It made one hell of a Wilson cloud. Looked like HE to me. A FA bomb needs to disperse the fuel into the air at the optimal mixture, then ignite it. I doubt it was FA. It looked like some HE cooked off and set off the rest.

I don't know fertilizer is no joke. If it was a port they could have had an awful lot of it stored.

Report I heard was it was initially a fire in a fireworks factory. Looks like that became the fuse for something obviously bitter.

My professional guess is fertilizer, probably Ammonium nitrate detonated from being in that fire

Some places are reporting it was a warehouse for iranian missiles. I wonder who would have issue with a warehouse full of iranian missiles so close to their country?

That is one hell of a shockwave. The large apartment building next to it gives a good reference for the massiveness of the explosion.

Current reports as make it seem the warehouse housing fireworks lit first, and a storage area with Ammonium Nitrate had to chime in.

And then this just popped up: https://www.foxnews.com/world/beirut...under-scrutiny

Maybe there were unapproved weapons stored, and some underwater shenanigans were carried out by Massad?

The story now is that it was an Iranian missile depot. It was attacked by Israel.

There is a video circulating online showing an attack on a missile depot in Yemen. The explosion is identical.

rumour going about that rad counters in europe are rising since the blast, not saying it was a nuke, just that it may have spread something nasty

I saw this morning that the blast was equal to about 2.2kt. That's on the order of a small strategic nuclear weapon. To put it in perspective a JDAM ranges for 500lb to 2000lb so up to 1 tonne.

A fire erupted at an Iranian industrial facility this morning, state TV reported, marking the latest in a wave of unexplained blasts at civilian and military sites across the country.
    https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/ori...ael-gantz.html

Since late June, Iran has seen an increasing number of mysterious explosions and fires. Incidents include a huge explosion in an industrial gas tank at a military complex developing rockets and ammunition in eastern Tehran on June 25.
