Thoughts On The New 2021 Ford Bronco?

Saw this a week or so ago, and I think I like the looks of it.

I've always like Bronco's but I had an uncle who had one and he told me to never buy one as he had nothing but problems with his.

Still, it looks like Ford might have gone a long way to fix past problems.

I like the looks of some of the packages you can get to go with it.

What are your thoughts on this new model and Ford products in general?

How good are Ford trucks and products?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've had a few newer ford products and thought the quality was piss poor. It seems they focus their energy on bloating the price with meaningless tech features while ignoring mechanical quality. They had a rash of bad transmissions lately too subject to class action lawsuits and basically told their customers "too bad, you're right, the transmission is shit"

    I'd stay away personally.

Transmissions were the problems my uncle had, too. It kept blowing them out. Plus, wheel bearings kept failing.

Ford focus (maybe it was fusion) from the last decade or so had near universal transmission failure. I work with a guy that had one go at 11k miles.

I like 'em but too many packages to choose from. Makes my head spin
Not sure I want to deal with a turbo either
Miss the old days when you could build off a base model your own way

I've had great Broncos and even a Bronco II that I loved. The new one probably costs 40k or so. Nah, I'll pass.

They are fucking hideous, it's like they're trying to make a futuristic looking north korean scout vehicle.

I think it looks cool....they did a great job of capturing the look of the original, instead of just another uninspired SUV knock off like Chevy did with the Blazer.

If anything I would wait a year or two for them to get the bugs worked out.....Ford like most of the other carmakers never seem to get it quite right with a brand new model.

Even so I like it and the retro Bronco look, much better than the lame retro T-Bird they tried. We'll see though....if anybody could screw it up you know Ford can.
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???

My vehicle repair experience ends around 2000, but unless Ford quality and design got a LOT better in the past 20 years... I wouldn't want a free one (well, maybe I would, but then I'd sell it to some sucker).

    My 2 cents.
