Historical Precedent for Confirmation of Supreme Court Justice in Election Year

I highly recommend reading this piece about the historical precedent of nominating and confirming a Supreme Court Justice in an election year, especially since this will not be reported on honestly by the MSM. They will, and are, saying that any Republican that supports confirming a Supreme Court Justice in an election year is being hypocritical based on what happened in 2016. This article shows that they are not, but that the MSM is being purposely dishonest in taking statements out of context that made clear that when the WH and Senate are divided, nominations will almost never be considered, but when the WH and Senate are of the same party, they have confirmed even after the President has been voted out of office. It is incumbent for us to fight back against the lies that are flying and against people like Senator Collins who is saying she won't vote to confirm until after the upcoming election. She needs to be voted out of office for supporting the Democrats. And it is important to note that this article was written a month ago, not immediately after Justice Ginsberg's death.

Those saying it is too close to the election to nominate a replacement for Ruth Ginsburg need to check history. She was nominated in July 1993, confirmed and then sworn in on August 10, 1993. So why should it take months to replace a justice? Oh yeah, a certain group that hates the constitution.

Why is everyone spinning their wheels about this? The Constitution doesn't stop being the law of the land in an election year. No one needs to "check historical precident". The Constitution clearly states what the President can and is required to do. Democraps worried about a conservative nominee simply need to bend over and kiss their own asses. The President will nominate a justice, as the Constitution requires. Cut-n-dried.

They are less concerned with what the president will do as what the Senate did and will do this time. If we allow the false narrative to stand unopposed that the Republicans are acting different now than in 2016, as if the situations are the same, and as if this has never happened before, then we may win the battle and lose the war. I want to win both the battle and the war, and that requires that the truth about what is going on now and how it compares to our history is shown to as many people as possible. We know that schools, the press and Democrats won't do it. That doesn't leave us much option but to do it ourselves.

"Truth"? Democraps don't want the truth known, and they will censor/cancel any real American who dares to speak the truth.

I think things have gone too far down the tubes. America has to sink to absolute rock bottom before anything can be fixed.

If we let it get that low, it will not be fixed, it will be destroyed, along with many American lives.
