After today, it's all historical.
Not if you don't shoot over 1000 rounds per year (or some other random number, given the time/cost of reloading) or you are in some precision shooting competition where commercial rounds just aren't accurate enough.
However, if you already have the equipment, go right ahead.
I custom load my ammo for my hunting rifles. better chance of putting them in the same hole that way

I, too, handload for oneof my hunting rifles. I have a single shot .30-30 and load .308 pointed bullets into a .30-30 casing. I've worked up a load that will put 3 shots into a quater at 100 yds. It's, probably, the most accurate rifle I own. I'd never be able to do this with factory loaded ammo.
