How effective is .380 ACP?

Interesting that they also seemed to talk as if the 9mm Makarov and the .380 ACP are the same. They are close, but not the same and while they use the same magazines in guns chambered for both (ie the CZ-82 and 83) you can't fire both out of the same gun.
