Thin, wispy, and feathery is the usual description for them. If they disappear fairly quickly, the weather will be dry for a few days more. If they spread out and get lower (turn into alto cumulus or alto stratus), then it'll usually rain within a couple of days.

I have the same problem with other people's pics on my phone and computer.....same thing just a blank screen.
Oddly enough though......the ones that won't show up on my phone usually show up on my computer and vice versa.
This is the only site I frequent that has this problem.

Otto - those just might be clouds known as "mare's tails", otherwise known as cirrus clouds. They are a high altitude cloud that frequently heralds that a cold front is on its way. It does depend on where you live however as they are less likely to occur the closer you are to the Equator.

Contrails are nothing more than man-made Cirrus clouds that form at altitudes above 20,000 ft. Since most commercial jets fly at this height, or higher, their exhaust causes the air to warm up, then cool off again, forming these crystals. The crystals form around the microscopic particles of exhaust fuel and condense into ice crystals.
If the air is real calm, they can sink down and the ice crystals turn into water droplets, and form either Altocumulus or Altostratus clouds. If that happens, it, usually, means rain in a couple of days.
