Good episode.Have them all on dvds. Makes you think about whats going on today. Another episode unrelated he's in, he's a bank teller who reads constantly, gets in trouble reading at his window, goes down into the vault to read on his break. The city is leveled by a nuke. He comes out and finds the library still somewhat intact, starts stacking books as he's going to read them for months and years. At the end, he drops his glasses on the steps of the library and they break. He can't see shit without them. All the time in the world.....

The best part of both those episodes is the amazing acting ability of Burgess Meredith...a truly underrated character actor.

Every time I see him in some tv show episode I'm enthralled by his commitment to the roll. There's a 2 parter of Rawhide episodes he's in...damn he's good...you believe he's that character whole heartedly.

And you know what? His Penguin in 60's Batman was still better than Danny Devito's version in the 2nd Keaton movie...

And damn! Dad in the Grumpy Old Men movies? You don't get better than that.

But to the point at hand...

Yes, the destruction of history, literature, what binds people together is being destroyed today...and we are now in the Twilight Zone.

All we need is some Aliens to push us into Outer Limits territory.

Don't need them at all. The Commucrats are doing a bang-up job without them.

That is true, he was in a lot of movies and TV shows, in all I've seen, very versatile. I recently picked up In Harms Way and when you mentioned his name I had to look at his movie credits. I knew I had recently seen him recently in a war movie.

He was paired with the "Duke" and Patricia Neal in that one.
