Yup. I just bought a .270 and have been looking for ammo. I was expecting to pay about $1 a round, if it was available (which at the moment it is not). I decided to look at gun broker and people there are selling, and worse people are buying, .270 for upwards of $2.50 a round. And this is not new ammo but stuff you can tell has been sitting in someone's sock drawer for the last 20 years.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Heard many first hand reports form dealers here selling to people and later seeing that same ammo online or at a gun show for sale at a much higher price. Sometimes capitalism sucks, but it is much better than what the current regime appears to be headed to.

It sucks, I've barely shot in a year because I refuse to pay $1+/round. I remember when those were .50 BMG prices!

Yup. I will wait, it will come back. And those who bought all this ammo and still have it, will then be looking at how to get rid of it.
