Best buy of a front loader washer?

Our front Sears Kenmore front loading washer is 20 years old and the basket bearing is going bad.

I suspect that repairs would not be a smart move on an older washer so I'm starting to look for a replacement.
Since we're on Social Security and don't have a lot of bucks, I need to find the best appliance I can for the best price.
Locally I can choose Menard's, Lowe's or a local long time dealer.

So, what's the best brand to look at?
    What to avoid?

Options, are GE, Samsung, Amana, LG, Whirlpool, Electrolux, maytag.

    Thanks.

Go with a SpeedQueen. Best warranty and great ratings. Down side is it’s a top load.

Due to physical problems neither of us can reach down into a top loader, so it has to be a front loader.

I was just asking for input on what brand to look at and what to avoid.
