The House will vote on the COVID Relief Bill today. I sent this to my Representative yesterday and will call his office this morning. They will probably still pass it, but they should not. Talk about systematic racism.
Please do not support the COVID Relief Bill. While this bill minimally assists with COVID relief the majority of the spending is for nonCOVID or minimally COVID related issues. Not to mention that in order to qualify for some items, like farm debt forgiveness and aid to hospitality related businesses, you have to pass a racial test. I believe this would run afoul of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution that ensures we have equal protection under the law. To invoke a racial test violates that amendment, making the law itself unconstitutional.
