    Why...you can get a BluRay player for 50-75 bucks...they're a dime a dozen.

Why buy a 4k tv at several hundred to a thousand or more, when with an hdmi connection you can add a player to your existing system?

I need a TV for my bedroom. I just wanted to buy a compact unit rather than have a separate dvd player. Say a 32" screen or so. I've seen the combination in 720P and 1080 just haven't found any in 4K

When I first got married, I bought a combo unit; TV, tape deck, radio, record player, all in one huge cabinet.

The first thing that went up was the tape deck. Then, the record player. When I called about getting it fixed, the cost to move the cabinet was way too much, so I just left it. All we had in that big cabinet, that worked, was the radio and the TV.

It makes more sense to buy separate units rather than get everything packed into one unit. That way, when one goes up, it doesn't affect the others.

    Just my $.02.

Well that's a fact with all that in the old days. But we're talking a dvd player built in to a TV, not much different cost than a TV. If the DVD player goes you could still attach a separate dvd player. If the TV goes, well it's a throw away. I mean here's a couple examples we're talking $200 or less!: https://www.newegg.com/p/16C-0009-00001 https://www.amazon.com/SuperSonic-SC...s%2C206&sr=8-5 https://www.amazon.com/Septre-LED-Cl...s%2C206&sr=8-6 I just can't find one in blu ray or 4K.

4k won't be worth it in a tv that small. that is probably why you can't find one. also, blu ray isn't 4k anyway.

No but most dvd's nowadays have the 4K dvd included in the blu ray package. That makes sense what you said, but I still can't find a TV bluray combo. You'd think if they have regular dvd there would be a blu ray.

Get a thin blu ray player, some duct tape, and a smart TV. Problem solved.....
