    Need Some Help

I want to download a few songs to a flash drive. My grandson says Youtube and iTunes are out as they only download to a device and not to a drive that can be removed from the computer.

I don't mind paying for the music, but if I pay for it, I want to be able to put it on whatever device I choose, not be limited to just the computer I downloaded it to.

Does anyone know how I can do this or if there is a site that will allow me to download the music and transfer it to a flash drive?

Thanks for any help you can give.

What is it you want to download? Most bands now have a presence on the Bandcamp website, allowing you to buy their music and download it (device of your choice) and free use of it ever after. In fact, if your drive fails and you lose the download, you can still go back to your Bandcamp purchase and download it again. Create an account and your library of Bandcamp purchases are available when you need access.

Yes there is a charge, though some bands will offer stuff free, or as a 'name your price' option, meaning you can download them for free. I can't quite see my way to do that, would be churlish, so if I find something under the 'name your price' option I'll at least pay 'em something...

Ultimately though, it depends on what you're looking to DL, who has it, can it be had for free (often yes) and how much work are you willing to put in to get it.

I'm interested in downloading songs from Kenny Chesney and James Blunt.

    Is the site www.bandcamp.com?

    Yep, that's it.

The thing I like about bandcamp is you can download in high quality flac audio, then convert down to mp3 for use on a portable device if you want.
