    Russian Ammo Banned

Gunreference1 posted this in the Gun Control Section. Thought I would put this here also so hopefully all can see this. Looks like it's for real. For at least 12 months. This going to hurt the AK world.

If Tula, etc. are smart...like Toyota, Honda etc. back in the 70's will start building plants in the US to produce their ammo. Will it be more expensive than the imported stuff...yeah it will be, but not as expensive as main American makers. If they do it right, the way Toyota, Honda etc. did...build the plants in non-UAW states (and yes, I know the UAW is automotive...follow the logic) and pay decent wages to make their ammo, they can fill their coffers with dollars. Who knows, maybe they might also find it profitable to produce other calibers in demand...if they have decent business sense.

This ban will probably inspire them to do so, like Kalashnikov USA did a few years ago....WOO HOO

Hornady was making some steel case 7.62x39 for a while, i never tried it, at .70 a round it wasn't worth it.

It is now. 70 cents per round is better than empty mags...

I thought most of the "Russian" ammo was now made outside of Russia, like in Ukraine and all over Europe.

Biden doesn't even know which town he's in or why he's being shuttled around in the big airplane.

You think he knows or cares about a little detail that "Europe" != "Russia"? (btw, != means "not equal").

When is Resident O'Biden going to place sanctions on China? Why are we still importing Chinese goods?

OF course, this would hurt WallyWorld, but I think it's past time to start placing sanctions on Chinese imports.

If I can find the same item, made by any other country than China, I'll buy that one.

    Phuk China.

    Post from Atlantic Firearms yesterday.

"They have NOT banned all Ammo and there is a ton of already approved form 6s out there so ammo will continue to flow into the US from Russia until those are exhausted . Similar to the Vepr ban we saw Veprs continue to flow into the US for 2 more years . During that time production will move to other non banned countrys . There is already ammo sitting in Poland , Romania , Serbia etc just waiting to hop a ship over to the US. This being said you can expect to see higher prices on ammo going forward . The SKY is not falling" .....

The problem is that this is just another "small" sideline the Commucrats are implementing. While this may seem like no big deal (because there are a few ways around it), it will all add up. In the future, all these little sidelines will lead to being able to buy no ammo whatsoever.

If they can't outright ban firearms, they will nitpick away the ability to feed them, leading to not being able to fire any gun you might still own.

All these "little" steps are just a microscopic part of a larger picture-the total elimination of guns in America.

That's how Commucrats work...they just keep chipping away at the trunk until the tree loses all its support; then it falls. Their goal was to cut the tree down but it didn't look like it while they were working on it.

Any law that affects our 2A right, no matter how insignificant, is just another step towards the overall Commucrat goal.

I think at some point they will come after re-loaders; maybe licensing, compliance inspections, limitations on how much and what type of ammo you can re-load.

If you belong to a long range shooting club, you will be called a domestic sniper

Hell they'll start with laws limiting how much ammo you can own. Whenever you go out shooting, that will be sufficient grounds for the ATF to search your house if the craps get their way. They can't stand people that can defend themselves from tyrants and their lackeys who get free rein to burn cities, kill citizens, loot ,rape and pillage them. As long as they are the right color and particularly the right party affiliation. They like to throw around labels such as nazi and fascist, while being the exact labels they throw out.

Here is another post on the Russian ammo ban.

The September 7th date is the deadline for applications for any new import contracts. All existing contracts will still be honored. The duration of these types of contracts is 2 years.
In the meantime, US and non-Russian ammo manufacturers can modify /expand capacity as the import contracts expires. It’s worth noting that approvals last for two years, giving distributors some leeway in terms of supply.

Ali, Dave, and 1 Pat, it saddens me agree with all your posts here, but all of you are likely 100% correct.

This is just another piece of the communist/democrat agenda to disarm American citizens and install their Marxist oligarchy here.

Obiden is a senile sock puppet and nothing more. His strings are pulled by the Obamas, Klintons, the criminals in the DNC, and other Soros-funded filth. It's past time for real America to come forth like our fathers and grandfathers did and fight totalitarian evil once again.

There is still plenty of ammo here lately. It's coming in from countries other than Russia.
