I always found it funny how people all think they have Miranda RIGHTS (aka having your rights read to you) OUTSIDE of the USA. That's a totally AMERICAN legal precedent. What's interesting is that most CANADIANS 'think' they have Miranda rights, when they do NOT. They wrongly assume that because you see it on American TV shows all the time, that it's the case in all of North America. That has jammed up a lot of Canadians who make that mistake.
