    I'm sorry but parts of that article read like they were written by a 3rd grader.

    I believe 9mm NATO is loaded to slightly hotter spec than US commercial 9mm luger/parabellum/x19 ammo. Not 100% about European commercial spec ammo. I understand it is much closer to standard 9mm than 9mm+p though.

    A lot of people will probably tell you not to shoot it unless the manual says to just like they say not to shoot 5.56mm in a .223 chambered rifle.

    Maybe in a vintage luger or P38 the extra caution would be warranted but in a modern glock, beretta, cz, S&W M&P, etc. I'd fire away and not worry about it.
