    Any other cigar afficianados here?

Okay, so this is a bullshit thread, given all that is before us.

However, I am 64...my government wants to kill me, the medical profession wants to kill me, the pharmaceutical industry wants to kill me, Soros Gates and Schwab all want me dead as a useless eater.

So what the hell...we're in Vegas...let's party!!!

If you are a stogie fan, what are your faves? Do you prefer 'em light or heavy flavor wise, specific brands/formulations/sizes that really pique your pallet?

Hey...if the world is goin' to hell in a hand basket in the very near future, I'ma enjoy some gustatory flavor along the way.

    Some of my faves:

    Sancho Panza Double Maduro
    Punch Rare Corojo
    CAO: Brazilia and Flathead
AJ Fernandez San Lotano: Ovals, Requiems...hell, damn near anything AJ
    Gurkha Grand Reserve
Padron - damn near anything, but the 1926 Anniversary is exquisite...wish I could afford the damn things...

Edited post...I posted Perdomo, should have been Padron...bad job by me...

I love smoking cigars but I am a cheap bastard so I usually smoke the JR knockoffs. I smoke 2-3 a week and name brand cigars would break the bank.

I like the Macanudo Robustos but am currently smoking some Punch knockoffs.

When I smoked, I preferred Wolf Brothers Sweet Rum Crooks. They went out of business about 25 years ago and I still have two boxes of 50 still in plastic wrappers. I have an idea they're super dry now, but that's okay. I'm not planning on smoking them, anyway.

Just keeping them for memories. They were the absolute best smelling and tasting cigars I ever smoked.

Fuck it...the powers that be have decided to plunge the world into anarchy and chaos...they've spent us into an untenable situation and the only way out (as they see it) is WW III...ya can't complain if you've been vaporized...ya know?

Buy a box of Punch Rare Corojos and live a bit before the mushrooms sprout.

Currently loving the toothy taste of a San Lotano Oval Maduro...Robusto...and wishing it was a Churchill for that extra 2 inches of flavorful fun...

They can, actually, be reconditioned to some extent. The oils evaporate when they dry out, do not return...they'll never be as tasty as when fresh, but buy a cheap humidor, let 'em marinate for a time. If nothing else, they'll be a good trade item when SHTF.

Napots...a relative cheapie you might like: https://www.cigarsinternational.com/...igars/2029090/

Quite tasty for a middle of the road smoke.

Any of you remember "Tinderbox" stores? I used to buy their 6-7" cigars that were about a "44 ring" size, usually with the darker maduro wrappers.
The last cigars I actually smoked were some that I bought in Florida when I was down visiting family back in '03. This was one of those little places where they were hand-made and pricier than I liked but I thought - "What the hell. When would be the next time I'd be back in Florida?"

I tend to like these. H.Upmann cigars. 44 ring is just fine. Good smooth cigar to smoke.

Been meaning to try out some Upmanns at some point.

Here's a great resource to try out some new sticks cheaply: https://www.cigarsinternational.com/joecigar

New deals daily...in some cases multiple items offered or new deals every hour. Just by keeping an eye on their daily deals I was able to pick up some $20 (MSRP) Gurkha Vintage 2001 sticks for about $3 each...by Grapthor's Hammer, what a savings!

If you like a tasty maduro (and I do) get 'em while the gettin' is good.

Starting my day with a nice CAO Brazilia...to be followed later with a Punch Rare Corojo, and probably finish the evening with an AJ New World Cameroon. Just tucked a box of R y J Cedro #2's into my wineador last week...still have a couple left from a previous purchase before I break into them...good stuff R y J's.

I used to smoke cigarettes, pipe, and cigars. I enjoyed all three. I smoked for about 50 years, then quit. (I got out of breath walking up long flights of steps.)

So, I switched to Nicorette gum and was able to quit after that.

Yes, I miss it, but, yes, I'm glad I stopped. (Breathing much better now, BTW.)

I seem to have inherited some pretty decent genes (top shelf, not Levi's or Wranglers) as I've been a smoker for about 49 years, and while I couldn't run a mile these days...hell can't really run at all these days, don't force me to try as I'd just have to kill ya instead...I can still walk long distances at a rapid pace, climb stairs, etc. without any significant breathing issues...knock on coffin wood.

Ever smoke a cigar so delicious that you want to poke a toothpick through the butt end, smoke it right down to the nub?

There's a market out there for the person who can come up with a cigar roach clip...one that will handle multiple ring sizes...

I'm thinking something along the lines of a modified vascular clamp is the way to go.

Why not use a pair of larger tweezers? Far cheaper and easier to find at a store near you....

Inefficient. A decent roach clip should hold the roach without any impetus by the smoker (holding the clamp in place by manual force assures it will be dropped...fire hazard). No, I'm thinking of something like a surgical tool...a ring of metal about 1/16" inch wide, on a stem/handle that can be tightened down or constricted like a hose clamp to adapt to the ring size of the cigar. The ring should have some slight spikes or abrasions, at least at the four quarters of the ring, possibly more...not harsh enough to pierce the outer leaf, but enough to hold the nub in place so it can't rotate or slip out.

Where's that damn Korean genius who created a new vascular clamp for the docs in MASH???

Another amazingly tasty stick at a decent price point:

The robustos are a great short smoke...cigarwise, that is.
