Been watching a lot of Stargate on the free Pluto TV streaming service lately.

All three series (and the series movies) available for streaming, as well as a dedicated SG channel where all three series are shown throughout the day...

When SG-1 first came out I resisted watching. Saw the original movie at the theater when it came out and when SG-1 was announced my first thought was...oh crap, they're gonna so screw this up. Never watched any of them until after all three series were canceled, then one day with nothing else to watch thought, what the hell...I'll give it a shot. Damn...was I ever wrong!

If you have a smart tv, roku or similar, search for Pluto TV...sign up, it's free...watch Stargate to your heart's content, 24/7 if you want. Also, a bunch of early Doctor Who, bunches of movies...all free!

Tubi and Freevee are also great free channels.

I hate paying for TV. Growing up, TV was free, though there were (basically) only three channels, and you had to suffer through commercials...the commercials paid for the free TV. Then cable came along...woohoo...lots of channels. But...wait...now I have to pay for TV, and I still have to suffer through commercials? WTF???

At least with many of these free streaming channels, we only have to suffer through commercials again.

Oh, and pay your interwebs bill...

I'm slowly getting modern here probably won't totally.
I just got a quote a new antenna and still have a land line
As much as I hate commercials I'm hanging on to my analog for as long as possible
I doubt that will even be viable much longer though

While a mild fan of the movie, I think that Michael Shanks made a much better Dr. Jackson (and less wimpy) and Richard Dean Anderson wasn't as "stiff" as Kurt Russell.
Amanda Tapping didn't hurt the cast either.

Personally, I was more taken with 'good old Doc Frazier'...nudge, nudge...say no more! I bet she was an animal in bed.

On a side note...recall the inept scientist character Jay Felger from SG1 (though only in two episodes, they were rather memorable)...did you know the actor who played him also played Harold in the Red Green Show? Another golden oldie I need to rewatch.

That was an actor by the name of Patrick McKenna. Here is his page at IMDB - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0571405/?ref_=tt_cl_t_2

I know...CC actually pointed out that it was the same actor. A search on IMDB confirmed it.

    Cunk on Earth

Just watched the first episode of this and it was hilarious. The episodes are only 1/2 hour long and it's well worth popping a can of beer and sitting back and enjoying.

It's a mockumentary that makes fun of all the serious documentaries that came before.

    Full of deadpan humor.
