I think May of this year so I guess I'll get the first chance to be wrong. China and Russia have got to be looking at us and laughing their asses off. A military lead by people more concerned with pronouns and political correctness than fighting a war. A CNC lead around by his wife and a group of commies. They got this. MAY.

Any five minute time, with hypersonic nukes from a Chicom sub we paid to build or a Russian sub. Who was the guy that was always posting pics of Nukes going off back in the day on the old site?

CC and I had a convo about this the other day...would you rather hang about with the radiation slowly killing you from the inside out, or would you rather just go in that bright flash followed by immolation. Where we live, we're not that far away from Great Lakes Naval and Fort McCoy...plus we live on the outskirts of the state capital and a few miles from Truax Field.

Looks like bright flash and immolation for us...good. I'd prefer to go quickly rather than try to pick up the pieces from such imbecility.

While I don't think China would be stupid enough to nuke the hand that feeds it, they really shouldn't waste their weapons as our own government is doing a good enough job of destroying us from within.

Ah Ft. McCoy and Camp Douglas/Volk field. I pass by them twice a night on my current run. Don't forget the fallout from all the missile sites in ND, Minot field, Grand Forks and down the line stretching to at least MO. We should get some nice fall out........ I never thought about it, but there's a small base or two in the twin cities, and Camp Ripley west of me. I won't be immolated but definitely will have some fall out.

Still thinking it's going to be an EMP...not a popular opinion but:
Leaves majority of the infrastructure intact.

They can always replace the generators and transformers.
A.most of which we've been buying from China.
B.that means they could already know each type and where they are located.

Doesn't have the massive fallout, which would ruin the farm land and water reservoirs that they desperately need.

Wait for a month or so while the population kills each other off, then land on the west coast, roll into the breadbasket and set up shop.

One of the things that might be holding them off?
There are 54 nuclear power plants (92 reactors) that would likely runaway and melt down.
Those would could be a major radioactive mess for centuries.

They really don't need us with the potential for a global market after a collapse.

China has a massive manufacturing base, while many countries have been shutting down foundries and machine shops to buy cheaper products from them.

Most of those with the knowledge necessary for basic manufacturing, like forging and machining, are dying off.

Well yea, there's THAT to consider.

We live a fair distance from any target and only one major city (120,000 population) between us and the old homestead where Uncle Johnny lives. There are State highways and farm to market roads that can be used to avoid it.

Most of the potential scenarios and different outcomes are still not good, but have to be considered.

Maybe being incinerated would be a merciful end compared to what the world will look like after an EMP or fusion running wild?

Wouldn't want our boys to have to grow up in a Mad Max dystopian wasteland...on the other hand?
They would probably end up taking over and running a dystopian wasteland

Exactly my thoughts but you are a better communicator than I am. No beard has a good point. EMP weapons, with select other targets getting a nice Diesel sunset.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military on Friday afternoon shot down a "high-altitude object" flying over Alaskan airspace and Arctic waters, National Security Council official John Kirby confirmed at the White House.
The Pentagon had been tracking the object over the last 24 hours

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/whi...says-rcna70166
"We're calling this an object because that's the best description we have right now," Kirby said. "We do not know who owns it, whether it's state-owned or corporate-owned or privately-owned. We just don't know."
The object, which the U.S. learned about on Thursday evening, was described as "roughly the size of a small car,"

There is a major air force base about 5 miles to the east of me, whose flight lines can be seen from the roof of my single story house at night.
St. Louis, the chemical & manufacturing facilities just east of the Mississippi and St. Louis, a major refinery (Wood River/Hartford) about 20 miles NE of here, etc., all are likely targets for nukes.
That will one hell of a funeral pyre.

Map out its trajectory and launch it about 45 minutes sooner. That should give it enough time to intercept it.

I believe it's to deliver our own payload not intercept
I had the same thought after seeing how slow that thing was

Not a chance. Certainly if they used subs off the coast. Patriot missiles, SM3ER and other missiles don't have the envelope for a hypersonic. ICBM's certainly don't unless you employ an atomic weapon in the path. I think you give us too much credit. The Chinese have stolen enough to get far ahead in many areas. We're an open country and have spies galore right up to the top with the Biden crime family being traitors.

The video says intercept. Hell even if it's to deliver our payload it will probably to little too late.

Many if not most of our icmbs and slbms carry mirvs and employ decoys as well, meaning a lot of targets that would have to be hit by an abm system.
Good luck russia, china, and everyone else.
