Too bad he was one of the most incompetent presidents ever. He was a good man and gave his all personally both before then and after.

Yes totally a failure as a prez......but yeah he did seem to be truly decent man who's heart was in the right place....maybe that was the problem.

Anyone who isn't a stone cold crook or tough and savvy enough to deal with them, gets shit on and sabotaged at every turn by the hyenas who don't want anyone spoiling their rackets.
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???

Yes the sad thing about James Earl Carter is that he was totally inept as a president, but as a humanitarian a great person.

And judging by how visible the DC Swamp is lately, I would give Carter a mulligan and think that he too was a victim of the swamp.

Idiot Joe can only claim half of that statement....actually, he beats Carter in being totally inept.

    Agreed !!

And, like 'nut, I think Carter may have been a victim of the swamp. His actions since getting out seem to show a humane "southern gentleman" and he just wasn't prepared for all the subterfuge and "back-stabbing" in DC.

Rosalynn Carter, one-half of the longest-lived presidential couple in American history and perhaps the most egalitarian as well, died on Sunday, the Carter Center announced.
