Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau famously said in 2022 that citizens can't use guns for "self-protection" in the country.

"We have a culture where the difference is, guns can be used for hunting or for sport-shooting in Canada, and there are lots of gun owners, and they're mostly law-respecting and law abiding, but you can't use a gun for self-protection in Canada. That's not a right that you have in the Constitution or anywhere else," Trudeau said.

And therein lies the rub. No 2A style protections from the gooberment...in Candida, in Stinkland, in Austraplasia, in New Zerkland. Seems the crown feared the people even more after the revolutionary and 1812 wars, and did their job well to hold a more totalitarian type of power...whether by King, Queen or Parliament.

The same sorts of restrictions are fully planned here, regardless of the 2A...they just haven't quite found the way to implement them fully, but it's coming.

Something that may be of interest to you 1Pat...did you know the Supremes have absolutely no right, under our constitution, to decide which cases they will hear each year? By the constitution, they are required to take each and every case which comes before them.

No, I was completely in the dark on this! Interesting, the SCOTUS allowed themselves to be co-opted without a Constitutional Amendment, Someone needs to take this to court, of course the Scotus would probably decline to hear it. Catch-22
