    Anybody familiar with New Mexico?

We usually head to Colorado, but we wanna try some time in New Mexico. I wanna see Taos, Billy the Kids grave, Los Alamos museum if it's worth it, maybe Roswell if it's worth it.
    Any suggestions?

Not really a whole lot there....great place if you like wide open spaces with no people or towns for miles and miles.

Carlsbad is cool if you're into caves...some awesome things to see.

Santa Fe and Taos if you're into artsy-fartsy kind of stuff.

There's the Indian reservations if you wanna buy fireworks or do some gambling.

Albuquirky is kinda cool when the hot-air balloons are in season.

A few tourist trap places like Roswell.......

Did I mention all the wide open spaces?
Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket???

Taos and Santa Fe would be the closest. They're actually kinda cool, especially Santa Fe if you've never been there before. Some of the best Mexican food you'll ever eat...not that Tex-Mex Crap.

If you like back in the mountains places then definitely go to Taos.

It's actually not a bad place to visit but a lot more lonely and quiet than Colorado....roughly the same size geographically but less than half the population. Make sure you fill up your gas tank when you have the chance if you're driving. It's sometimes a long stretch between towns.

It is a beautiful place and if you never been you won't be disappointed.
