    I don't think there's any way to determine the true date, but for a revelation from God. As we all know, Dec. 25th was picked by the church to usurp a pagan holiday, but I don't think there were even any biblical mentions of season within the context of Christ's birth. And frankly, I don't think it really matters. The story itself (if true) is where the crux of the biscuit lies...not in specific dates.

    The word says the shepherds were in the field with their flocks when he was born, so it wasn't winter.
    Also I've read where he was born in 4bc, sacrificed for us in passover of 29ad.
    Also Adam was told (in the Book of Adam and Eve) a saviour would be sent to get them back in the garden in 5500 years, or what we call 4bc, kinda implying the universe may only be 7527 years old. As to the speed of light and carbon14 dating and billions and billions of years, I suspect they're wrong.

    Some light reading on the subject;

    Let his blood be upon us and our children for the remission of sin.
