Looks to be stainless steel, is that true or is it the light?

I had a neighbor who had one back in the mid 70s, when I was a kid. He claimed it was the fastest bolt action in the world. And I believed him. I still believe him. If I were to ever buy one foreign made surplus rifle, the Swiss K-31 would be it. Besides, we all know how old school Swiss engineering was some of the best!

I don't think they are stainless, maybe someone with one can do a magnet test...

The K-31 is the one that ejects out the top, right? If it the same rifle, I have a friend that had one when we were teenagers. We went out to shoot one day
and he made a shot he was rather proud of, grinning from ear to ear he ejected the spent round, the casing came up and hit him in the tooth breaking it.
He still has the chipped tooth and I can't remember what happened to that rifle. 123

Always wanted one b/c of the speed of the bolt. All you do is pull it back with your fingers and the slam it home with your palm. Super fast for a bolt gun.
