The attacker punching the 14 yo in the head would have been punched in the head as well - by me. If a person wants to commit a violent act, they should learn the cost by a violent defense.

I taught public school for 42 years and loved every bit of it. At the beginning of each year, I showed the kids a 2 gallon bucket of water that I kept by my desk. I told them that if they ever got into a fight in my room, they were going to get hit with a lot of water and if anyone else got wet, they were going to the office, too, for being too close and egging them on. One year, I had two kids on the floor punching each other. I hit them both with about 2 gallons of water. It stopped a punch in mid stride. Both of them got soaked. I told them both to head to Home Ec. and get their clothes dried and come back when they did. One of them stopped by the office and I got a visit from the principal. He said what I did was a little drastic and extreme and I told him I stopped the fight instantly and no one got hurt....just wet. He didn't say anything else and left my room. I never had another fight in my room after that. I'm guessing the kids told all the kids I had every year afterwards that if they fight in my room, they'll get wet. Real wet.
