UT students debate allowing guns on campus for protection

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - On the heels of a decision that will allow a man to stand trial on charges he stabbed Casey Bucher, a University of Toledo student, to death last year comes the idea of carrying guns on campus for protection.

For instance, Tuesday night the UT College Republicans held a meeting on campus for students interested in learning more about conceal carry. Anthony Capser is the political director of the group. He says the organization doesn't have an official stance on the ban.

I live in Toledo...about the only county that voted all Dems...big Union presence in this city (thats why no businesses want to come here)

I'll be really surprised if anything comes out of it...although we do have CCW now..."assault weapon" laws are off the books now along with city handgun card...so stranger things have happened here....
