Per the article, it's actually 10 states, nine following CA's lead...

I don't really see a downside. If every conservative (read working folk) moves the fuck out of those states, to more red ones, then the collapse of those states finances and gooberment will occur more rapidly.

I see that as a good thing.

Funny, a ban on internal combustion engine powered vehicles mandating electric yet most states do not have the infrastructure to support full EV usage. Not to mention the problems showcased in Chicago when cold weather hit and the supposed best electric vehicle became very expensive push toys.

Not to mention the continuing showing of evidence that EVs are not the answer to global conditions not being what some people say are happening when the USA is most likely the cleanest country in the world when it comes to emissions. Just ask China!

The EV boondoggle has gone on long enough. They create more carbon in building, operation and disposal than any other type of automotive conveyance, fueling them is done (predominantly) with fossil fuels, they don't work in cold weather...they are useless except as grocery getters, and they'll still suck you dry at that task.

And just wait until the battery pack needs replacement (if it hasn't already burst into flames, frying your house to the ground)...you could replace 3 ICE engines for the same cost.

The scam is obvious, to anyone with eyes to see and discerning mind to parse.

i can't fathom the pull on the power grid, when at any given time millions of evs will be plugged into chargers.

What they really want with legislation like this is for Americans to stop traveling period. Their dream is where you have to get state permission to travel outside your designated area, enforced by plenty of police state actors.
