Ostensibly there were power failures, but at the first one, the ship was already directly in line with the left support, and the space between the two supports on this bridge was enormous...wouldn't it have been central channel to begin with?

I did see that a road crew filling in pot holes went down with it and most traffic was stopped in time
It did appear to be heading right for that support

Unfortunately if those freighters lose power, they also lose control of the rudder. With river currents it is very possible and probable that this was just an unfortunate accident. (I hope)

With the number of possible "sleeper cells" that have already sneaked into the U.S. from BOTH our southern and northern borders, they would want to cause maximum disruption. Taking out a bridge like the Key bridge, while locally disrupting, it would not cause the desired "panic effect" these terrorists seek.
No, look for an even more co-ordinated attack on multiple electric grid points to darken as much of the U.S. as possible, esp. in major metro areas (NYC, Chicago, SF, LA, etc.).

Oh I suppose it could have been some terrorist plot....but it's far more likely it's just more of the general decline of our world that seems to be getting more and more inept and incompetent with each passing generation.
Blaming it on terrorists is giving far too much credit to humanity and implies that it was planned and executed to perfection by some terrorist mastermind and his henchmen, rather than a bumbling and blundering accident caused by incompetence, which is far more likely.
