After today, it's all historical.
At least electric cars have a greater range than the horses that the automobile replaced!
So...eight states that people will be moving out of, at a rapid rate?
If we refuse to rule ourselves with reason, then we shall be ruled by our passions.

There are some things I will not abide within my sight!
Yeah...I know.
Stupid is as stupid does...and human nature never changes.
Philosopher George Santayana said, "Those who refuse to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them".
And unfortunately, those of us who have learned are doomed to repeat them, right along with all the idiots...

Think of the absolute control they will have over American travelers when this is enacted. For one, they can shut down any ev remotely, it wouldn't surprise me to find they can drive-by-wire someone right into a solid concrete bridge embankment or handy tree if they get to troublesome to the regime. Kinda like how rifle maker Noveske after he pointed to antidepressants in use by school shooters, and how journalist Mike Hastings died in a mysterious car crash after investigating the 0bama regime.

Now add to the above capabilities the regime is given by ev the fact they can limit where you can go by limiting use of charging stations selectively. Also they will automatically prohibit round trip travel to places that do not have charging stations. As you can see ev is a win-win scenario for any totalitarian regime. Also hafta include the fact evs take more resources in manufacture than gas vehicles and the charging stations in use will create more greenhouse gases than gas stations.
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
