    First, nothing surprises me anymore with commiefornia.

    Second, most drives are already aware that they are exceeding the speed limit. Those signs are just there to beautify the streets.

    Actually, this is most amusing on a whole different scale. In all the large urban areas of CA, traffic is so congested that you're lucky if you're going 5 MPH...much less being able to speed.

    This is another reason I'm glad I own a 2008 Ford Ranger (with just under 10K !) and a 2011 Hyundai Elantra with about 75K. With a little luck and care, they might last me the rest of my life.

    Soon they will program the "black boxes" in the new cars to report directly to the police when and every time you break a law... and notify your insurance company.
