    4 Great War Movies

These 4 World War movies were great. They had realism, character conflict, emotional resonance, action, and great storylines.

I would add to this list All Quiet on the Western Front.

I could add several others with a bit of thought, but the first that comes to mind is "Enemy At The Gates".

Not being a fan of war movies, the only one of the 4 that are in the article that I have seen is "The Great Escape".

I would have to add the movie The Beast to that list, too.

Only seen spr, the beast, and 1917, very good movies.

Just a note, my father was one of the first to cross the Ludendorff Bridge in Remagen and he warned me that the only thing correct in that movie was there was a bridge and the US was fighting the Germans.

Sure, but a good movie all the same. Did you know when they were filming the movie in Czechoslovakia it was delayed by the soviet invasion? Pretty wild!!!! Just imagine that you're filming a movie with all the US equipment and the Soviets are rolling in!
