What have you acquired while Gunsnet was down?

I figured I'd start the thread....gunsnet has been down too long....while down we've all had guns that have come and some that have gone.....catch us up.
Me? I won a National Match 1911 in a PBA raffle...it's since been traded... I got a 1953 Systima 1911 (great condition) and some cash (needed the cash but that is for another thread)...I decided to do something different this year for deer season, so....I bought a Mossberg ATR 100 in .243. I'm liking the light recoil and light rifle compared to the 308 Mauser I hunted with last year. I also bought a Martin "Threshold" compound bow for the early bow season....Lastly, my father-in-law brought me his Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser in 6.5. It's a sweet shooter. Funny part is he said he was thinning his collection and then turned around and bought a Mossberg ATR in 3006, LOL....one gone, one bought, my kind of thinning. Lastly I picked up a Kahr CW45. It's now my full time off duty gun. The only thing I've done to it is add night sights.
That's mine. I'll post pictures when I'm on my home computer.
    What did you get?

Got my first AR type rifle put together on and old receiver I had laying around. Bought five AR receivers from Rguns (consecutive serial numbers). They bought up a big supply from someone that went out of business after the buying frenzy and the glut hit. Got em for 55 dollars each!

I've since got a 300 whisper kit from M1S and a Form 1 to build an internal suppressor around it. I posted about it in the black rifles forum.

Works been hit and miss lately, mostly miss. Buying something fun and new has been in a holding pattern about as long as Guns Net has been off the air. I'm hoping things pick up soon.

    Neat lil Ruger...
I'm a big fan of Ruger wheel guns.
I just don't think they can be beat in terms of toughness and reliability

I bought "nothing" since Gunsnet has been down (as far as guns go).
But my next purchase will be another Ruger GP-100.

My wife wants it (GP-100) because she says my HK USP45 has too many switches and levers and stuff.
    She wants something simple.
    I want something tough.
    This is win/win.

We had a 4" GP-100 in the past, but had to sell it (along with a few others) due to money troubles.
This time, we are going for a 6" and have the barrel ported.
It will serve double duty as my ranch gun...

That will be loud. Don't port it if you can.

Actually, just before Gunsnet went down, I started collecting things other than AKs. Figuring I couldn't own every AK variant ever made thanks to our government destroying our constitutional rights, I decided to start collecting Beretta 92 variations.

Boy did I ever make a mistake!!! There are almost as many Beretta 92 variations as there are AK variations!!!! Did manage to land an original 92 step side and both variations of the original 92 standard slide, Italian made for world sale, and made for Brazilian purchase.

Found out there were at least 85 variations of the 92 series, not counting US versus Italian, and the straight versus tapered dustcover style frame. Then the US made with Italian parts, then.....

    WELCOME BACK GUNSNET!!!!!!

Went a little nuts on some 1911s. Got a High Standard Crusader Compact just before the site went down, picked up a 1991A1 commander (that makes 7 now), built a Bulgy '74, and completed a Form 1 mod on a Draco pistol.

I don't think I would port it. Just dos centavos from an old dinosaur but you have 6" of barrel, 45 ounces of metal and lovely grips to wrap your fist around. I really don't think you will find recoil an issue even with the heaviest factory loads.

Unless you are going to roll your own gun busting, tree wrecking, suicide loads. I would save the money you were going to spend for porting it and buy a case of 38 special and 357 magnums instead.

Couple of shotguns and a rifle. Will post if I can ever figure out how to post a picture.

Winchester semi-auto 18" barrel 12 gauge, H&R single shot 36" barrel 10 gauge and my lovely pride and joy, my very own Springfield Armory, (June 1941), M1 Garand. Now I won't have to keep cleaning my brothers gun. Also bought a ridiculous amount of ammo but not nearly as much as I want and probably half again more than I can afford. Found a source for primers and powder and bought the guy out. Heh, heh, heh! I also found out that 10 gauge isn't nearly so bad to buy when you buy a case at a time. What did I get myself into?
