    Collateral was directed by Michael Mann and he goes to great lengths to ensure the weapons and weapon handling is as close to real life as he can get in Hollywood.

    The line I quoted above is from a scene that ends with a near perfect "speed rock". For this film Cruise (of whom I'm no great fan) was trained by ex-SAS types and by all accounts he spent a great deal of time working to get it "right" and then working to make it "natural".

    Heat is another Mann movie worth checking out as well.
