A criminal case has been reinstated against a Cibola County man facing federal charges of possessing firearms in violation of a 50-year domestic violence protective order from a family court in Hawaii.

A U.S. District Court judge in New Mexico had dismissed the indictment after finding it violated the Second Amendment rights of James Oliver Reese of Milan, N.M., to bear arms.

I think the 10th circuit has a screw loose. Since when was the federal law prohibiting firearms to those convicted of domestic violence made retro-active?
