I'm all for the Irish coffee. Tullamore Dew being the liquor of choice but unfortunately diabetes took that pleasure away from me. Sure would beat the hell of of Oxycontin though. I hate that stuff and the way it makes me feel.

I was given morphine after I spiked a fever last week, I was disapointed, didnt feel any thing. I was given oxy once, after I broke an ankle, I still hurt, but I didnt care. I was given Parafon Forte after a surgery, the migrain it gave me as it wore off wasnt worth taking it for pain. Perfer Tylenol [OG what does ND stand for?]

My back, since 1991. My knee, about two months.

Percocet for severe migraines, along with about 13 other meds to keep them under control. Too much "using my head!".

Hoping all of us gimps are better soon, we need to get back to business....

I will admit to using a sleeping aid yesterday, it was worth it but now I need lots of coffee to get up for work.

There was 30" of snow on my little car yesterday am, not sure what the total amount we got here was but when is spring?

I am ready for the snow to melt.

Heading into the armory, with Heather driving of course. I have to pick up some "homework" to do at home, so I can make up the two days of drill I missed last weekend. My retirement day will be April 1st. Only 2 more drills to go!

21 years total. 8 total years of active duty and 12 years of part time Guard. I'm so done with this. I can't wait.

Saving up for a travel trailer. Looking for a 23 or 24 footer. Heather and I are going to spend the summer going places! She took the week off to care for me during my initial recovery after surgery. She's such a wonderful woman. I'm very lucky to have her.

My brother and step-son picked up a cord of wood over the weekend for me. The stuff is still wet, so it don't burn too well.

The pain was something else this morning. Took the pain meds about an hour to take the edge off.

It's raining. That's why things are green here. It rains all the time.

I saw the term on gunsnet of course [ND], Thanks OG, Suggestion for a travel trailer, they come in 2 foot measures, 24, 26, 28, etc. depending on how far away you are traveling, and how long you are staying, look for something you will be "comfortable" in. and can pull easily.

This is off topic and we don't ever drift off topic on this site, (says I with a straight face). See new post discussing negligent vs accidental discharges.

Brian, have you looked at Craigs list? http://www.craigslist.org I've been looking for a camp trailer too so I'll have a place to live when I tear down this house and build the wheelchair accessible house for Liz.

btw... Seems the Seattle area Craigs list has more selections than other places. Looks like the liberals have more money to spend than other places.

63- I use craigslist often. I've had two loads of firewood delivered to the house this winter using craigslist. I guess I should of thought about looking in the Seattle area. I found my F350 up in that area using craigslist last summer. I'm looking to spend about $5000 on the trailer. $1000 down and finance the rest through the credit union.

So when are you building the new house?

Oh. Great opportunity to show off my truck... It's a beast!

2004 F350 4x4 crew cab Super Duty 6.0 Diesel. It's been a great truck. Since the daughter wrecked my Bronco last May I needed a newer vehicle that could tow a trailer.

Brian, that's ironic! My truck is also a 2004 4x4 crewcab Superduty! It's a 250 though. Right now, she's muddy from driving in the front yard.

Oh...mmhuh.... its something wrong with that picture, right??! .....wait... oh yes. I cant see the ram on the hood.... I can see one outside my window though. Im in the same era, 2003... 2500 Dodge Ram Laramie, Cummins diesel of course. Modified all the way..... Turned 233000 miles today.

Im sitting here cutting 32-20 brass, converting them to 32-44. Boring job, but it pays off at the range. Little one sleeps over at my parents house, so its kind of quiet. Thats when the bottle of whiskey and the jar of beef jerkey drops out of the cabinet. I guess my wife is here somewhere, but I wount have a look see. That just means I have to do something domestic. Im not made for domestic things....

Have you guys seen the Ari Vatanen thread I got in the non firearm forum?? You should watch that guy winning the Pikes Peak. That was back in 1990 if I dont remember wrong. That was when the rally drivers could still use the group B cars.... In short, they were two seats with a good suspension, 4 wd, and 2000 pounds of dynamite behind you.

No news on the scandinavian front besides that Im going to write a letter to the prime minister and ask him what I have to do to get rid of my Norwegian citizenship. I cant be Norwegian when we got idiots running and ruining this fine country. I have to go somewhere else, a place where I can be Norwegian.

Well.... have a great weekend and have a lot of fun.

Okay little buddy what has Statsminister Jens Stoltenberg done to you this week. (Hope I spelled that right, relying on dinosaur memory). Or do I have the wrong guy? It's been awhile since I read any Norwegian news. By the way where would you go that is any better? Some of us envy your freedom. Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence eh?

    You know what they say:
"The grass is always greener on the other side
    of the fence".
    That's true, you know.
    But did you ever wonder
which side of the fence you're on?

I think I am on the other side.

You got all your norwegian right. Even the saying. Are you using tritrans or something??

Well, Im on the side thats green. I can admit that. But stupidity goes a long way. Ill give you a complete update when I get there in person. You`ll totaly understand. Norway is a free country. A rich country. We got nothing at all to complain about, BUT......

Norway Inc. got a big huge got damn pile of money. All due to the oil. This little frosty country got a LOT of oil. Now... just one example. When I go to work in the morning. 5 am. 1h20m drive to Oslo... Ok, fair enough. Working minimum 12 hours, fair enough...However, I have to use a road that kills a lot of people to get there. So, finally they have decided to make a freeway. (Been a plan for like 15 years.) Toll free?? NO. Belive it or not, but my annual cost, just to use the road will be $4200. Im not full of shit, its for real. So Im going to start a group.... The group that blows up toll stations.... In 5 years from now Im probably in jail. I dont mind, Ill have more friends than ever that way. I said it to Mona today. Get used to the idea of vissiting me behind bars. I got the knowledge, and Ill do it. We have had toll stations for a very long time. But you have to place your tent somewhere. Enough is enough. The road toll thing is just one tiny example. You would not grasp what we pay in tax and fees. This is it. We are going French..... I didnt mention up there that I pay 48% income tax.... YES I do!

One more... the people have paid for the oil developement. The builiding of the platforms, the ships, the refinery, the lot. Norway Inc got a cost of $0,33 per litre gas or diesel..... We have to pay $2.2 at the pump..... I bought my Dodge Ram in 2003. Back then it was relatively reasonable to buy. American cost, freight, dealer merit, and then it was mine. Now you have to pay.... hold on to something... $152666.67 just in tax to get that truck. Reason? It seats 6 people and got a big engine. If you dont belive me please feel free to call the assholes and ask. Ill pay that got damn phonecall for ya.... The French have a saying about the Norwegian rage...well, they are about to talk about that inside those fucking brick walls in Oslo too.

Jens Stoltenberg is a clown. A bad one... The Stoltenberg family has been politicians for generations. They have never produced anything. Not even a small pile of shit. This country is a senior citizen heading for the grave. Prosperity is indeed a sign of ruin.

I have no idea of which country that would welcome my simple demands. The US would be a cliché, you got a lot of things that makes sense. On the other hand, you got several things that dont. If I knew the english language a little bit better I could make this sound somewhat inteligent. I guess this sounds like a 2. grade complaint. Its not... By far.

Im proud of being a Norwegian. But this is it. I would fight for my King and country, but not for a bunch of morons and bullshit. If all hell broke loose and by luck or accident Stoltenberg and the lot fell into my trench, I would cut their neck with my teeth and use them as a gun rest/cover.

You just have to build a room for me OG... Ill do whatever work you need to have done. No snake hunting however..... But I could hunt moose with a knife.
That was a very long story short, even if it took a lot of words using bad english... Bottom line. Im fed up, pretty angry and I will blow up those toll stations. Just keep an eye up on the news from abroad.

OG...there is also one saying that says.... If you meet 4 guys, and 2 of them are assholes. Beat them all... the two normal guys could turn into assholes aswell.

Taxes is where all the Scandinavian countries lose it for me. High taxes couples with high welfare programs is the socialist equivalent of redistributing wealth. From those who make it to those who don't have it. Our country keeps trying to head that way and that is why the Tea Party was born. It wasn't a single issue but a whole bucket full of issues. The one thing you guys have that we don't yet is so many of your major industries are state owned and I have never seen a government any where in any country that can run a business as well as private owners can. I think that as much as anything brought the Soviet Union down. Not that simple of course but a huge factor.

I really haven't studied it, this is what I am picking off from my readings on world economies as a whole.

What is tritrans? The way I got the Norwegian was to look up a post from an artist on building fences where the grass was greener on the other side. Then I had that post translated to English, found the phrase I wanted and copied the original Norwegian. Probably long way around to getting it but I found that little poem and it tickled my giggle, it seemed appropriate.
