    looking for wood carvers

Do any of you guys make items out of wood..are there any wood carvers here? I need several pistol grips made.

I know several shops that make this pistol grip like ironwoods design......but........they want my first born and my left leg. Last year you could buy them for 22 bucks from ironwoods....now however ironwoods must be placing a little gold in there because there 55 bucks now.....................
That is why I'm loking for someone else to possible make them, 55 bucks is a rip off.

The pistol grips I need made are for the Yugoslavian AK-47.
    looks like this

then it sounds as if you know the value of time.

not trying to sound like as asshole, but you seem to place no value on others time.

im not trying to argue about what iron wood designs charges for their time. im sure their parts are made on a duplicator, minimizing time and labor for each piece, but if someone were to make those by hand, $55 would likely be a steal for the amount of time that would go into each one.

im sure if you tried doing it yourself once you would gladly pay someone $55 to do them.

Actually I found out my niece works with wood, took my only sample over to her, she informed me of how simple these are to make. I asked if she could make me a few no problem was the reply make as many as you need. Looking at the pistol grip it looks simple and obviously is according to her but as I stated before I lack time.

    Lightbulb

She say's it's simple now. Let's wait and see 1. how simple she thinks it is after she makes one and 2 let's see if they actually fit on the weapon and look right.

She wants the task, therefore I'll give her the chance.
