    Are You a Gun Guy?

I was talking to one of my bosses today about shooting and he says "I didn't know you were a gun guy". I hear this about once a month or so. I don't consider myself a "gun guy", especially after reading and seeing what some of you here have. When someone asks if I am a gun guy I have started telling them that I am not a gun guy, but I do enjoy practicing the Second Ammendmant.

So, have any of you been called a "gun guy"? Or better yet, how many of you actually are gun guys?

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

I normally don't think so, but I do often get calls from friends seeking advice/opinions on firearms.

I've been called a gun guy. I find it interesting that you can be a, "gun guy," or a "car guy," but I've never heard anyone called a, "fish guy," a "train guy," or a "basketball guy."

I've been called a train guy in the past as well. Though I think the proper term there is rail fan.

Very guilty. I get a lot of questions at work about firearms because others perceive me as the 'gun guy' there.

Gun nut for sure. As in tennis nut, golf nut, etc.

I smile and call myself a gun nut sometimes when I see the look on somebody's face that finds out I shoot... just to see the reaction

If this elicits an uncomfortable pause, I know they're a tool. Often though, it precipitates a story about them or their dad, etc. having/liking guns.

So many people have a stereotypical "image" in their mind of what a gun nut is... and it's not my picture - or most anybody's here I would wager.

Same here, after obama got elected and the gun buying fenzy started they all came to me with questions on what to buy, so one by one i took them all to the range and let them fire my guns. Now i'm only one of many "gun guys" at work

They do think i'm a "nut" for having a little over 10,000 rounds of ammo, to me it's "only" 10,000 rounds
