Picked up my Circuit Judge today

I went to gun store today and picked up my Circuit Judge. I haven't even had time to clean it up yet, but wanted to share some pics of it and what it came with. It looks interesting. Can't wait to clean it up and take it out and see what it'll do.

Here's a closeup of the cylinder and scope mount. I may leave it on as it's not messing up the sights and, after shooting it, I may want to see what it'll do with a low-power scope or red dot.

Here's all the goodies that came in the box: Owner's Manual; hammer offset attachment; hammer lock keys; bore snake; cylinder plugs (for hunting); thread protector sleeve (straight rifled choke tube); and choke wrench. The sleeve protector is used with shooting slugs or .45 LC, the straight rifled choke is used when shooting shot. The whole barrel is circular rifled until it reaches the choke area. The rounds used determine the type of choke.

Here's the cylinder plugs installed for being able to hunt legally in states that require a shotgun be limited to 3 shells.

Here's the muzzle showing the bore protector installed.

This rifle/shotgun fits my hands perfectly and comes up nice with the sights in line with my eyes. I want to see how it patterns with regular shot and how accurate it is with slugs and OOO Buck.

I'm not sure about other states, but MD has a law that if you're hunting with a shotgun, you have to plug it so it can't hold more than 3 rounds. For deer hunting, the rifle can't hold any more than 8 rounds. I think some other states limit rifle capacity to 5 rounds when hunting.

Very interesting looking firearm. A natural progression from the pistol.

I too find it silly to have to put plugs into the cylinder to meet the three round part of the second amendment for hunting shootguns (but only in certain states!)!

Gander Mtn. had them on sale last week for $459, but I paid a little over $500 for mine. I think the MSRP is somewhere around $600. I'm not complaining about the price as I would rather support a private dealer and help keep him in business, if I can. This is the second gun I've bought from him and he's already cut me a deal on another gun I was looking at.

Yes. Fiber optic sights. Just cleaned her up. I hope to get out in about 2 weeks and see what she does on paper. When I do, I'll post pics of the results.

Matshock, I took the top rail off and it does look much better.

Nifty, too bad it can't handle a .454.

The 3 round limit is federal for migratory birds. No capacity restrictions for upland birds or any other game here in WI.
