Bought it in 2002. I was thinking I've never photographed my Ruger .22

I've got that same gun but in stainless with a b-square stainless scope mount and Leupold x2 pistol scope with a stainless looking exterior.
Forgot to mention, nice looking gun!

I have that exact gun...

Fantastic little guns!
And yes, those are "googly eyes" inserted into the grip panel screw holes. The panels are taped on, I did not want to put screws into my grip frame. Needed something to fill the holes.... googly eyes fit for now

I've got the SS model.
Really nice .22 and a flat out tack driver. I did have to replace the extractor but other than that it's been an extremely reliable and durable gun.
One of my favorite shooters
Yep, I've got one too = but mine's a MkIII. And a nice El Paso Saddlery holster for it.
Nice pics - thanks

Ruger's very first gun? Yes, all of the variations of this pistol are very popular
For good reason.
You know about 10-22's right? JK

I like the grips on the Mk3's better then the 22/45's but I dislike the loaded cartridge indicator. For the price I got in mine I'm happy
Yep, got one just like it from the early 90's except I put a set of Williams Fire Sights on it.
I prefer the bull barrels, the tapered barrels don't look 'right' to me.
I have not seen very many of the 22/45s with tapered barrels, but I did see one in stainless with a 4 inch tapered barrel once and I thought it looked pretty sweet.
I love the MK series and have one of my own. Enjoying the pics too. Wish I had a camera.
Rage
The pistol has been flawless just like my 10/22. Fun shooters for sure.
I used to have one (MKIII model) but I broke it trying to put it back together after cleaning. I called Ruger and they knew exactly what I had done. I sent it to Ruger and had it back repaired in about a month. I then sold it and bought a gun more within my IQ level to maintain. It was a great shooter, though. I do miss the accurracy.
