    Question Slugs vs body armor?

    So, how do 12 ga rifled slugs do against body armor?

    Most soft body armor will prevent a standard 2-3/4 12-gauge rifled slug from penetrating completely. However, blunt-force-type injuries can still result. I recommend this The Box O' Truth article to you:

    The vest's used were IIIA...not the more common (and lesser protection) IIA



    Not that really matters, 'cuz it always sucks ass to get shot.

    I'd bet the 12 gauge slug could still easily kill you just from slamming into the vest. I couldn't imagine another cartridge being able to push the vest in any more without breaking through it.

    I just don't want to get shot body armor or no body armor. I guess a slug would be better than a 300 Wby but either way if I survive I am going to be in a real bad mood.

    yea man, plus I'm guessing that impact alone could prob break a few bones.
