Bear in mind that commercial bullets vary in length- the Sierra .308 diameter (works in a 30-06 or .308) 175 grain match bullet is 71.15mm long.

Thanks- I had it wrong- it's the diameter of the round at the neck X the length of the whole cartridge, not the dimensions of the bullet- duh. I guess that makes sense if the only point of the label is to match a cartridge to a specific chamber.

I had to get my ruler out just to unfuck myself on that one Sir!
