Use the nail and hammer to punch the primer. Find an old pipe that'll fit around the cartridge, take a cork and run a nail through, then leave the nail tip right under the surface of the cork. Use rubber bands to hold the cork over the makeshift chamber and whack the nail with the hammer. Make sure your face is real close to the cork and nail so you can sight it good.
