Thumbs up Smith 45 ACP arrives

I am very pleased. This is the 45 that I bought from Bud's Gun Shop - off one of their gunbroker auctions actually. It's a 4586, 45 ACP DA only -with short trigger throw. Its an LEO trade-in and I am really pleased with the condition. The grips show only a small amount of wear, the night sights still have some glow left in them and the rest of the pistol is VG condition. All for $294 shipped plus $25 to my ffl dealer.

I already have an extra mag for it too - Midway stocks them along with many other parts for this pistol. Which is a great thing about these Smiths - there's enough of them around to warrant carrying parts...

Anyhoo - here's the eye candy:

Thanks. She's a heavy beech. But the grip and trigger feel really good. Locks up tight. And a good holster with a good "spread" will make it very comfortable to carry.

Can't wait to get her to the range for a spin.

That's the great thing about LEO guns. They usually have alot of holster wear but mechanically, they're like a new gun.
