I was able to put 500rds through a minigun once, it was amazingly smooth, almost to point of not being as much fun as the more typical MG's I have shot.

I'm trying to think of the role it fills that spurred its design.

    Looks cool though.

Helicopters flying at night or low and slow might not want the report of a nonsuppressed mini?

I'm wondering how long the suppressors will last at that rate of fire.

I suppose. When you let loose the flash and the impact will alert everyone around. I guess if your in a hostile area it could give greater survivability by limiting the enemies ability to acquire your position.

I imagine the life-expectancy of those suppressors to be very short.

I don't know anybody that could afford to feed the damn thing. It's one thing to come up with the $$$ for the gun but the ammo prices would bankrupt a lot of countries...

Luckily, I was on his line. My friend's friend, manufactured with Neil...

It was the year before the triple mini-gun mount levitated in the air, then crushed the young teenage girl.

Should be no worse than any other centerfire suppressor, and better than your average M16 suppressors's lifespan.

Vehicle mount miniguns are selectable 2000rpm or 4000rpm, split across six barrels is 330 to 660rpm per barrel, vs 750-1000rpm for a regular M16.
Air mounts can do 6000rpm (1000rpm per barrel), but have forced-air cooling from the aircraft's slipstream.

Ditto, the flash and the effects will still be very noticeable. Once bumping heads turns into a firefight there aren't any "secrets" anymore.

I've shot them on the taxpayer's dime.
