Wink Got a German Paratrooper Gravity Knife

Kinda big. But it works good and feels pretty good in your hand. The blade sharpened up nice with a few passes through my ceramic sharpener. This one is green with an awl.

I was under the impression that it would be a bit smaller/lighter.

But it's cool and I like it regardless.

    Thumbs up

Sweet! That's one type of knife I haven't gotten into yet. Is it an OFW made or Eickhorn? Those are about the only two makers I can recall at the moment.

Scales are marked "BUND" on one side which is denoting the military nature of this I think and the blade has "W" over "Mf". Got it from Keep Shooting.

Man, I remember that Sportsmans Guide or somebody had these for like $9.99 or something. Should have bought a bunch then...

    Isn't that the truth!

    Let's see:

    1) the e-block steel AK mags - I did buy a bunch - $2 and $4ish each in two orders but I should have gotten a lot more the first time.
    2) Cheap milsurp ammo of all flavors - it was so cheap! Even at the time.
    3) AK Kits with barrels for $100 and less
    4) 10 for $490 Romanian M69 .22 trainers - remember that one?
    5) same kind of deals on Mosin Nagant's
    6) $100 garands... that one kills me - I did get in on it though at $250...
    7) $75 SKS's

hmmm - there are lots more.

Found this: The guy says it's made by BUND... but I couldn't find any reference on a google search to "BUND" being a manufacturer... But this knife is marked like mine.

If that's the one I saw before, some schmuck in the comments says who the manufacturer is in the usual 'three year old little bitch, I'm going to be as pricky as I can' way that is SOP on that faggy site.

I didn't see the bitchy comment (though I know exactly what you mean) but there was one that indicated that the manufacturer is "*Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik"

Other comments were that the BUND is short for Bunderswher - which is just German for army.

Got to hand it to the german. That is some good thinking. Interisting designs. Before this tread I had only heard about gravity knives in reading gun laws. I didn't know what one was.
