    Front Rifle Rest

    Has anyone experience with the SmartReloader SR679 Rest

    No I do not but I have similar units, I've always gone back to "soft" rests.

    i prefer a bipod and "freehand" the back, if im looking for super accuracy, ill use a soft bag in the rear.

    No experience with that particular one but it resembles the types used by serious benchrest shooters. I see it says Windage adjustable, that should mean the platform is adjustable for left and right aiming without requiring you to reposition the rear of the stock / rear bag. Looks like it as a stock stop as well. You slide the stock in until it touches the stop so you get the weapon resting on the front bag the same shot after shot. The price looks good to me. Rests like that use to be in the $200 + range 20 years ago.

    Thanks Shuetz i already bought it . This will help my range reports in C&R. I still have a lot of stuff that needs tested.
